In the summer of 2015, I made a tough transition back to my hometown from a life I had been building in Steubenville, Ohio. I felt very alone as a Catholic young adult in Southeastern CT, and I missed the faith community I had enjoyed while a student and employee at Franciscan University. Two years later, I finally learned about C4C through circumstances that only God’s providence could arrange, and I spent a weekend on retreat with an amazing group of young people. Since then, God has flooded my life with a fresh outpouring of grace through the friendships which began on that weekend. Even though I live an hour away, I am abundantly blessed to be a part of Crossroads 4 Christ which helps me to pursue a relationship with Jesus supported by the fellowship of brothers and sisters who journey with me.
“When I moved, I was just hoping to find a couple Catholic friends to hang out and worship with. Crossroads has been this and so much more. I’ve made some of my closest friends here, and I’ve developed a clearer sense of what my gifts and talents can bring to the Church.”
I found C4C at a time in my life where I really needed a support group that I could feel safe with and that had my best interest at heart. To be able to get together with a group of people my age who are taking up their individual crosses and rejoicing in the love of God all at the same time is truly a gift.
